On Monday, 14 September 2026, the National Institute of Physics hosted the first NIP run of the PsycServ workshop,ย “Learning to Be a Lifeline: A Basic Skills Workshop on Supporting the UPD Community,”ย bringing together junior faculty, teaching associates, teaching fellows, and staff for a hands-on session on mental health crisis response geared towards building a safer and more resilient campus environment. With UPD PsycServ providing practical training in Psychological First Aid (PFA), active listening, and compassionate early intervention, participants gained the tools and confidence for improving mental health wellness.
