Mario Juvenal S. Onglao III is an Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Physics (NIP), University of the Philippines – Diliman (UPD), and a visiting professor at the Center for High Energy and High Field Physics (CHiP) at National Central University (NCU) in Taoyuan, Taipei. He received his B.S. degree in Applied Physics, M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Physics from NIP-UPD. Through his affiliation with NCU, he recently joined the LIGO Scientific Collaboration (LSC). His research spans coherent metrology, interferometry, phase retrieval, and statistical fringe analysis, with a current focus on optical and electronic instrumentation for gravitational wave detectors and precision sensing.
