Dr. Eric A. Galapon is a professor of physics at the National Institute of Physics, University of the Philippines. He received his PhD in Physics from the University of the Philippines in 2001, followed by postdoctoral research fellowships at the City University of Hong Kong, South Korea’s Pohang University of Science and Technology, and the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.

Dr. Galapon’s research interests lie in quantum mechanics, theoretical physics, and mathematical physics. He has made significant contributions to the study of quantum time problems, particularly in the areas of quantum traversal time, quantum tunneling, and quantum decoherence. He has also worked on topics such as operator ordering, quantization of classical systems, and the behavior of particles in confined spaces.

He has published numerous papers in top-tier journals such as Physical Review Letters, Physical Review A, and Europhysics Letters. He has received several awards for his work, including the National Research Council Achievement Award in Physics and the Most Outstanding Young Scientist in Physics Award.

Dr. Galapon is a member of several professional organizations, including Samahang Pisika ng Pilipinas and the National Research Council of the Philippines. He has also held visiting professorial positions at several institutions, including City University of Hong Kong and Pohang University of Science and Technology.

Overall, Dr. Eric Galapon is a prominent figure in the field of theoretical physics, known for his groundbreaking research on quantum mechanics and mathematical physics. His contributions have shed new light on fundamental concepts in physics and have opened up new avenues for further research.
