NIP gave recognition awards to honour its deserving non-academic staff members and instructors during the Gabi ng Parangal 2015 held last December 18, 2015 at the NIP canteen. The goals for giving the awards are to improve the delivery of service and to enhance interaction within the Institute.
For the staff awards, the criteria used to evaluate the quality of service rendered are knowledgeable on transactions made, complete tasks on time, helpfulness, courtesy, cleanliness in area of responsibility and being professional in conduct. Introduced for the first time, the NIP staff award system was done through an online approval-voting system by the faculty and REPS.
The staff awardees for 2015 are:
- Angelina H. Palo-Galapon (Admin Office)
- Macario C. Roque (Research)
- Felix V. Maulion (Teaching Labs)
Special awards were also given to instructors for their exemplary performances in teaching and laboratory classes through their SET scores.
The instructor awardees for 2015 are:
- Denny Lane B. Sombillo (Gawad Direktor: Natatanging Lekturer)
- Esmerando R. Escoto (Gawad Direktor: Natatanging Guro sa Laboratorio)
- James N. Vance (Gawad Direktor: Natatanging Guro sa Recit)
- Damian N. Dailisan (Gawad Direktor: Natatanging Bagong Guro)
In his closing remarks, Director Roland Sarmago reiterated the importance of the quality of service, in addition to achieving the performance targets for staff and teaching objectives for faculty. Dr. Sarmago thanked everybody for the successful year and especially acknowledged the awardees for being good role models for NIP colleagues to emulate. Dr. Sarmago vowed that NIP would continue the recognition system and introduce more refined categories in the future.
